Basketball Game Preview: Clover Park Timberwolves vs. Foss Falcons

Clover Park has gone 9-1 against Foss recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Clover Park Timberwolves will face off against the Foss Falcons at 6:00 p.m. Clover Park will be strutting in after a victory while Foss will be coming in after a defeat.

Clover Park will head into Tuesday's matchup having proved themselves against Orting: Clover Park took a 40-point loss the last time they faced off against Orting, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Clover Park narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Orting 43-41. The victory was nothing new for the Timberwolves as they're now sitting on three straight.

It was another big night for Andralynne Harless, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten boards. She is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last eight games she's played. Another player making a difference was Ahriana Mamea, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.

Clover Park smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 26 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in eight consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Foss was beaten by Fife 65-34 on Tuesday. The Falcons have struggled against the Trojans recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Foss' defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 3-7. As for Clover Park, their record now sits at 6-4.

Everything came up roses for Clover Park against Foss in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, as the team secured a 61-23 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Clover Park since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
