Even though the Roosevelt Rough Riders have not done well against the Copley Indians recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Roosevelt came out on top against Copley by a score of 51-43. For Roosevelt, this counts as revenge for the 55-48 loss Copley walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.
Roosevelt can attribute much of their success to Jaden Dennison, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Dennison has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Foreman, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.
Roosevelt has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. As for Copley, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-8.
Roosevelt will be playing in front of their home fans against Stow-Munroe Falls at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Stow-Munroe Falls presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Roosevelt in Ohio (Stow-Munroe Falls is ranked 111th, while Roosevelt is ranked 278th). As for Copley, they will head out on the road to take on GlenOak at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.
