The Crescent Tigers had to endure a seven-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 56-55 win over West-Oak. The win was just what Crescent needed coming off of a 48-24 defeat in their prior matchup.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Crescent to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brody Linker, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 14 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Bishop, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds.
Defeat or not, West-Oak got some senior leadership from Anthony Kaliski and Drew Crompton. Kaliski scored 18 points along with three steals, while Crompton. scored 16 points along with five rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Kaliski has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Lucas Towe, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
Crescent's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-10. As for West-Oak, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-15 record this season.
Crescent will head out on the road to challenge Daniel at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Daniel's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Crescent has been banged up by 15 consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season. West-Oak will take on Seneca at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Seneca's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four matchups.
