Despite the defeat, Ontario Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Mason Salazar shot 53% from the field on his way to 25 points. That was a full 53.2% of the Knights' points, marking the fourth time in a row Salazar has posted more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Heaven Chea, who scored 11 points and three steals.

Beverly Hills' victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Ontario Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.
