It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Cornerstone Christian Crusaders can now relate to. They took a serious blow against Faith Baptist on Friday, falling 59-28. Cornerstone Christian was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-8.
Despite the loss, Cornerstone Christian still got an impressive performance from Devin Jarrett, who threw for 147 yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
Cornerstone Christian's loss dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Faith Baptist, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-3.
Cornerstone Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Faith Baptist will be playing in front of their home fans against Milken at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. Milken is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
