Fans were treated to a battle of the Bulldogs on Tuesday. Grandview blew past Kearney 68-43. Grandview has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 contests by 24 points or more this season.

Grandview's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jada Smith, who went 9-for-17 to rack up 26 points. Smith is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last four games she's played. Lecia Martin was another key player, shooting 70% from the field on her way to 14 points and seven assists.

Grandview was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Kearney's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Maggie Lakin, who posted eight points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooke Paalhar, who earned eight points and five assists.

Grandview has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.4 points over those games. This is the second loss in a row for Kearney and nudges their season record down to 11-14.

Grandview has already played their next match, a 47-27 win against Smithville on the 27th. As for Kearney, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 62-26 victory against Winnetonka on the 27th.
