Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only The Lynnfield Pioneers walked away with it. They breezed by Swampscott at home to the tune of 28-0. Lynnfield might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won seven matchups by 22 points or more this season.
Lynnfield can attribute much of their success to Niccolo Antidormi, who rushed for 88 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries, and also caught a touchdown. Antidormi was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 55 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Adamo, who rushed for 12 yards and a touchdown.
The victory makes it two in a row for Lynnfield and bumps their season record up to 8-1. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 32 points. As for Swampscott, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lynnfield will take on Hudson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hudson is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games. As for Swampscott, they will head out on the road to face off against St. Mary's at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Mary's will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
