Even though the Maury Commodores have not done well against the Booker T. Washington Mighty Bookers recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Maury blew past Booker T. Washington 47-21. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Maury has posted since December 15, 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Maury to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nyla Brown, who scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Arianna Owens, who scored ten points.
The victory makes it two in a row for Maury and bumps their season record up to 7-7. As for Booker T. Washington, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Maury will take on Norview at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Booker T. Washington, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Norcom at 5:30 p.m. on January 19th. Norcom will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
