West Jefferson has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Firth Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Idaho (West Jefferson is ranked 76th, while Firth is ranked 53rd).
On Tuesday, West Jefferson was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 49-45 to North Fremont. West Jefferson has struggled against North Fremont recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Firth made easy work of West Side on Saturday and carried off a 48-28 win. The win was just what Firth needed coming off of a 50-30 defeat in their prior game.
West Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Firth, their victory bumped their record up to 5-6.
West Jefferson might still be hurting after the 52-29 loss they got from Firth when the teams last played back in January. Can West Jefferson avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
