Southside Christian had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged the Faith Baptist Christian Academy Crusaders out 64-62. That's more bragging rights for the Patriots, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Faith Baptist Christian Academy's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Angel Santiago, who went 9 for 14 on his way to 19 points in addition to five boards and three steals, and Aidan Massey, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten boards. Those 19 points gave Santiago a new career-high. Gerald Boyd was another key player, putting up ten points.

Southside Christian pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.8 points per game. As for Faith Baptist Christian Academy, they moved to 6-5 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Southside Christian will venture away from home to challenge Memorial Day at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Faith Baptist Christian Academy, they will face off against Alleluia Community at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.
