Serra Catholic is a perfect 5-0 against Leechburg since March of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. Serra Catholic is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Geibel Catholic an 18-0 shutout on Tuesday. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by 13 runs or more this season.
Giana Foster was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. What's more, she posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in April of 2025.
In other batting news, Alonna Morton was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2025. Another player making a difference was Keyara Watkins, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
Serra Catholic kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Leechburg lost 17-1 to Serra Catholic on Friday.
Serra Catholic's win bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Leechburg, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.
Everything went Serra Catholic's way against Leechburg in their previous matchup on Friday, as Serra Catholic made off with a 17-1 victory. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Blue Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
