Central Pointe Christian Academy National walked away with a 56-47 win over The Villages Charter. Given the White Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked second, while the Buffalo are ranked 31st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Central Pointe Christian Academy National's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jayshlynn Vega led the charge by going 8 for 11 on her way to 19 points. That's the most points Vega has posted since back in December of 2023. Desireck Nieves was another key player, going 5 of 10 on her way to 11 points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Cypress Bay put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 63-46 victory over Jordan Christian Prep.

Central Pointe Christian Academy National better focus on containing Agam Gago and Sofia Gonano as the pair were huge in Cypress Bay's win. Gago went 5 of 9 on her way to 15 points and seven steals, while Gonano went 8 of 19 on her way to 19 points. Gago has been hot for a while, having posted three or more steals the last nine times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Nevia Miletti, who posted ten points.

Central Pointe Christian Academy National's win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Cypress Bay, their victory bumped their record up to 8-0.
