The Nazareth Swifts will head out on the road to face off against the Miami Warriors at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Thursday, Nazareth was fully in charge, breezing past Wildorado 56-6 at home. The win made it back-to-back wins for Nazareth.
Meanwhile, Miami put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They didn't even let White Deer onto the board and left with a 45-0 victory. That's two games straight that Miami has won by exactly 45 points.
Haiden Thompson was his usual excellent self, rushing for 82 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries, while also throwing for 129 yards and a touchdown on only ten passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Wheeler, who gained 76 total yards and a touchdown.
Their wins bumped Nazareth to 4-6 and Miami to 10-0.
Nazareth was taken down by Miami 48-0 in their previous matchup back in October. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Miami's Thompson, who rushed for 181 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.3 yards per carry, and also threw for 148 yards and a touchdown on only ten passes. Now that Nazareth knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
