Basketball Recap: Lehighton Makes It Five in a Row on the Road

Lehighton entered their tilt with Palisades on Wednesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Palisades Pirates 80-55.

Palisades' loss came despite strong showings from Lincoln Cook and Will Anderson. Cook went 7 for 17 on his way to 18 points, while Anderson went 7 of 14 en route to 16 points and seven rebounds. The contest was Cook's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Riley Andrew, who posted six points and six rebounds.

Lehighton pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Palisades, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lehighton and Jim Thorpe will compete for holiday cheer at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Palisades will take on Northern Lehigh in a holiday battle at at 6:45 p.m. on Friday.
