The Wicomico Indians will head out on the road to challenge the Washington Jaguars at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Wicomico suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Wednesday. They took a serious blow against Snow Hill, falling 105-34. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Wicomico has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Washington's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 74-35 loss at the hands of Decatur. Washington was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-17.
Wicomico now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Washington, they dropped their record down to 1-9 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.
Everything went Wicomico's way against Washington when the teams last played back in December of 2023 as Wicomico made off with a 60-36 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wicomico since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
