Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Buchholz). They breezed by the Belleview Rattlers to the tune of 67-32 on Saturday.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Buchholz to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alessia Chaves-Torres, who posted 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Booth, who earned 15 points.
Several Rattlers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Albanis Mogollon, who had eight points and three steals. Mogollon is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games she's played. Another player making a difference was Cami Satterfield, who scored 11 points and six rebounds.
Buchholz's win bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Belleview, their loss dropped their record down to 12-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Buchholz Bobcats face off against the Columbia Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Belleview, they will be playing in front of their home fans against North Marion at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
