It was fun while it lasted, but Branham's undefeated season came to an end after three games on Wednesday. They took a 57-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the West Park Panthers. The loss was the Bruins' first of the season.

When it comes to explaining why Branham lost, don't look at Carlo Marinucci. Despite the final result, he went 8 of 18 en route to 22 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Cole Taylor, who posted six points and five rebounds.

Having lost for the first time this season, Branham fell to 3-1. As for West Park, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.

Branham wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, an 83-79 loss against Santa Teresa on the 12th. As for West Park, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 72-38 win against Menlo School on the 12th.
