The Vail Christian Saints lost against the Plateau Valley Cowboys back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Vail Christian was outmatched by Plateau Valley at home and fell 75-9. Vail Christian has not had much luck with Plateau Valley recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Grace Armstrong was Vail Christian's leading scorer, having posted four points.
Emaline Ealey was a one-man wrecking crew for Plateau Valley as she dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds. Meloni Miller was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with eight steals and six rebounds.
Vail Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Plateau Valley, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Vail Christian's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Gilpin County at 11:30 a.m. on December 9th. Hopefully Gilpin County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 on Wednesday. Plateau Valley is on the road again on Friday and play against Telluride at 6:00 p.m. on December 8th. Telluride will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 254th, while Plateau Valley is ranked 55th).
