Leading Calloway County to victory were Jaidan Koch and Sayler Lowe. Koch scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and six assists, while Lowe scored 29 points along with seven rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Lowe has scored at least 25% of Calloway County's points. Another player making a difference was Lexi McClure, who scored eight points.
Calloway County pushed their record up to 9-1 with that victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 20.33 points. As for Hopkins County Central, they have fallen quite a ways from their 24-9 record last season and are now at 3-5.
Calloway County and Butler County will round out the year against one another at 2:45 p.m. on Wednesday at. Butler County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kentucky Rankings (they are ranked 153rd, while Calloway County is ranked 43rd). Hopkins County Central will finish 2023 at home by hosting Mayfield at 10:30 a.m. on Friday. Mayfield is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.
