The Marshall Rams's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fifth straight loss. They fell 63-50 to Lee. Marshall has not had much luck with the Volunteers recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite the loss, Marshall still got an impressive performance from Aric Goodman, who scored 19 points along with two steals. Goodman is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jai Lopez, who scored nine points along with six rebounds.
Marshall dropped their record down to 6-21 with that loss, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Lee, their win bumped their record up to 21-11.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Madison the next time they take the court. Marshall will head out to face the Mavericks at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Volunteers will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
