Livingston Central's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past Crittenden County 14-0. The result was nothing new for the Cardinals, who have now won five contests by ten runs or more so far this season.
Hadley Hargrove was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Victoria Joiner was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Nevaeh Jennings, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.
Livingston Central was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .464. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .346 or higher in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, after a string of nine wins, Trigg County's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They lost 11-1 to Henderson County. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Wildcats have suffered since March 22nd.
Trigg County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kady Fuller, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.
Livingston Central pushed their record up to 12-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Trigg County, their loss dropped their record down to 16-8.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Thursday. Livingston Central hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.4 home runs per game. However, it's not like Trigg County struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.6 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
