After flying high against the Concordia Cardinals on Friday, The Christian School at Castle Hills Eagles came back down to earth. The Christian School at Castle Hills was dealt a 65-37 defeat at the hands of Holy Cross on Saturday. While losing is never fun, The Christian School at Castle Hills can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1195th, while Holy Cross is ranked 507th).
Dominic Hernandez was his usual excellent self, scoring 23 points along with three steals for Holy Cross. Those 23 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaron Garcia, who scored 12 points along with five assists.
The Christian School at Castle Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 6-17. As for Holy Cross, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-6.
The Christian School at Castle Hills will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Pantego Christian at 6:00 p.m. on December 28th. Holy Cross and San Marcos HomeSchool will face off at 6:00 p.m. on December 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
