Northwest Rankin kept a clean sheet against Meridian on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 7-0 margin over the Meridian Wildcats. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by seven goals or more this season.

Their offense was hitting Meridian from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Gavin Miller led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Northwest Rankin's victory bumped their record up to 9-2-1. As for Meridian, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Northwest Rankin take on the Petal at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Meridian, they will be home for the holidays to greet Pearl at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
