It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact John Marshall can now relate to. They received a  blow  on Tuesday as they fell  64-49 to the Morgantown Mohigans. The Monarchs' loss signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.
John Marshall's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Kaylee White, who  went 8-for-11  to rack up 19 points and six  boards. What's more,  White also posted a 73%  field goal percentage, which is the highest she's  achieved since back in December of 2024.  Rilee Storm was another key player,  shooting 46% from the field en route to 18  points and seven  rebounds.
 Even though they lost, John Marshall was working as a unit and  finished the game with 14  assists. This was only their fourth loss (out of 19 games) when  they've passed the ball that well.
John Marshall's loss dropped their record down to 15-9. As for Morgantown, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record  this season.
 John Marshall does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Morgantown, they will challenge Washington at 1:00  p.m.  on March 12th. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Washington comes in on four and Morgantown on three.
