Jordan is 2-8 against Northern Durham since March of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Falcons will welcome the Knights at 6:00 p.m. Jordan knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past five matches -- so hopefully Northern Durham likes a good challenge.
On Tuesday, Jordan made easy work of Hillside and carried off a 17-2 win. Considering the Falcons have won seven games by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Sofia Padua made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run but no hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those two runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lucia Terruso, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Kylie Specht was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Jordan always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hillside only posted an OBP of .308.
Meanwhile, Northern Durham came up short against Riverside-Durham on Tuesday, falling 11-1.
Northern Durham saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brynley Standifer, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.
Jordan's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Northern Durham, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10.
Northern Durham's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Jordan has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.4 hits per game. It's a different story for Northern Durham, though, as they've been averaging 9.5 hits. Given Jordan's sizable advantage in that area, the Knights will need to find a way to close that gap.
Jordan couldn't quite get it done against Northern Durham when the teams last played back in April of 2024 as they fell 6-1. Can the Falcons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
