The Miller City Wildcats will challenge the Ottawa-Glandorf Titans at 5:00 a.m. on Monday. The last three games Miller City has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
Miller City took a six-run defeat the last time they faced off against Allen East, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Wildcats narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Mustangs 7-6.

Karlee Gilgenbach spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and two unearned) runs on six hits and racked up nine Ks. Those nine strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
At the plate, Teagan Rieman was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing five bases while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Bailey David, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ottawa-Glandorf). Everything went their way against Upper Scioto Valley on Saturday as they made off with a 15-7 win. The Titans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by six runs or more this season.
Addie Kitchen made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits. Kitchen was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 3-for-5. She also put up three RBI, which were her first of the season.
In other batting news, Ottawa-Glandorf let Libbie Niese and Hailey Leopold run wild. Niese scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-5, while Leopold scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Those hits marked the first that Niese got this season. Libby Nienberg was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
Ottawa-Glandorf always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .532. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
The victory made it two in a row for Ottawa-Glandorf and bumps their season record up to 3-4. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Miller City, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Miller City has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.1 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Ottawa-Glandorf struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 4.6 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Miller City took their victory against Ottawa-Glandorf in their previous matchup back in April of 2023 by a conclusive 13-2 score. Do the Wildcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Titans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
