The Apple Springs Eagles lost against the Wells Pirates back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Apple Springs received a tough blow as they fell 65-46 to Wells. Apple Springs has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Caden Diaz, who scored 13 points along with five steals. Diaz hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Dakota Campbell was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with five rebounds.
Apple Springs' loss dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Wells, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 games, which provided a massive bump to their 12-11 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Apple Springs will take on Kennard at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Kennard is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Wells, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Slocum at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
