Chandler hasn't had much luck against Xavier College Prep recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Chandler Wolves will challenge the Xavier College Prep Gators at 3:45 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
While Chandler didn't have the best season last year (they finished 13-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They were the clear victor by an 18-2 margin over Valley Vista on Monday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wolves.

Isabelle Ashike Osorio looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Cian Noli was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. Another player making a difference was Maryn Schaffer, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
Chandler always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .710. The last time their OBP was this high was back in March of 2024.
Meanwhile, Xavier College Prep won against Basha on Thursday with nine runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. Xavier College Prep never let Casteel get on the board and left with a 9-0 win. The victory was nothing new for the Gators as they're now sitting on five straight.
The result came thanks to Sydney Root's shutout, as she gave up just a hit and racked up 12 Ks.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Sariah McNabb, who went 1-for-2 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2024. Nora Wickers also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.
Xavier College Prep's win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1-1. As for Chandler, their record is now 7-3.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. Chandler hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 1.3 home runs per game. However, it's not like Xavier College Prep struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.6 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Chandler came up short against Xavier College Prep when the teams last played back in March of 2024, falling 9-6. Can Chandler avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
