After each having a week off, the Llano Yellowjackets and the Randolph Ro-Hawks will shake off the cobwebs and  take on  one another  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Llano will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
 Llano's defense heads into the  contest  hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed  last Friday. They blew past Luling 49-0 at home. The  match marked the Yellowjackets' most dominant  victory of the season.
  Luke Davis continued  his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 240 yards and four touchdowns on only 18 passes, while also rushing for 53 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries.  Trey Mote was another key player, rushing for 100 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries.
 He was just one part of a punishing run game: Llano was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 220  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 219  rushing yards in five consecutive  games.
 On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Llano's defense and their three sacks.  Carsten Hays was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up twohimself. He is also on a roll when it comes to  total tackles, as he's  now  made five or more in the last seven games he's  played dating back to last season.
 Meanwhile,  Randolph's undefeated season came to an end after  six games  last Friday. They took  a  35-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of Marion. The loss put an end to the Ro-Hawks' undefeated start to the season.
 Llano pushed their record up to 6-1 with the  win, which was their fourth straight  at home. As for Randolph, their loss  ended  a  three-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 6-1.
 Things could have been worse for Llano, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took  a  24-7 loss to Randolph in their previous matchup  back in October of 2023. Can Llano avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
