On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on JR Ramsey, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Seth Fleischman also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Meanwhile, Heritage entered their matchup against Fruita Monument on Saturday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Eagles took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats.
Carson Davies was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk any time he's pitched this season.

Tuesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Broomfield has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .442. However, it's not like Heritage struggles in that department as they've averaged .442. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Broomfield came out on top in a nail-biter against Heritage when the teams last played back in March of 2025, sneaking past 8-6. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bald Eagle since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
