St. Bernard-Elmwood Place is 2-8 against Clark Montessori since January of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The St. Bernard-Elmwood Place Titans will be home for the holidays to greet the Clark Montessori Cougars at 6:00 p.m. St. Bernard-Elmwood Place will be strutting in after a win while Clark Montessori will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Saturday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, St. Bernard-Elmwood Place beat New Miami 39-33. The win was just what St. Bernard-Elmwood Place needed coming off of a 49-18 defeat in their prior game.
Meanwhile, Clark Montessori's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 46-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cincinnati Christian. While losing is never fun, Clark Montessori can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 660th, while Cincinnati Christian is ranked 308th).
The win got St. Bernard-Elmwood Place back to even at 3-3. As for Clark Montessori, they have fallen quite a ways from their 17-2 record last season and are now at 2-4.
St. Bernard-Elmwood Place suffered a grim 53-28 defeat to Clark Montessori in their previous meeting back in January. The match was all but decided by halftime, at which point St. Bernard-Elmwood Place was down 32-11.
