With a playoff game on the line, the Salem Greyhounds rose to the challenge on Friday. They blew past Jessieville 44-16 on the road. The victory was just business as usual for Salem, who after 11 games remain undefeated this season.
Leading Salem to victory were Kaden Brink and Elijah Romine. Brink rushed for 114 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.1 yards per carry, while Romine rushed for 123 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.2 yards per carry. Romine is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last three games he's played.
Salem's victory bumped their record up to 11-0. As for Jessieville, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.
Salem will take on Mansfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Arkansas (Mansfield is ranked 85th, while Salem is ranked 68th). Jessieville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
