Even though the Lexington Minutemen scored an imposing 59 points on Wednesday, the Plattsburg Tigers still came out on top. Plattsburg managed a 65-59 win over Lexington. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Plattsburg also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Michael "isaia" Howard continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 36 points and 19 rebounds. That makes it seven consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Plattsburg's points. Another player making a difference was Rylan Langton, who scored 11 points along with four steals.
Plattsburg pushed their record up to 13-3 with that win, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.8 points per game. As for Lexington, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 10-3.
Plattsburg's road trip will continue as they head out to face Lawson at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th. Lawson will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings (they are ranked 305th, while Plattsburg is ranked 87th). As for Lexington, they will be playing at home against Richmond at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
