New Holstein is a perfect 10-0 against Sheboygan Falls since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Huskies are taking a road trip to face off against the Falcons at 4:30 p.m.
On Friday, New Holstein didn't have quite enough to beat St. Mary's Springs and fell 3-2. The Huskies have struggled against the Ledgers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.
New Holstein saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hayden Jurgensmier, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.
Meanwhile, after only one run in their last game, Sheboygan Falls made sure to put some runs up on the board against St. Lawrence Seminary on Friday. The Falcons put the hurt on the Hilltoppers with a sharp 14-1 win. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Falcons' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.
Rhett Albright made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out seven over 4.2 innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in May of 2024. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base.
In other batting news, Sheboygan Falls got a massive performance out of Anthony Adamavich, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Ryan Schroeder, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
Sheboygan Falls always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .657. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Sheboygan Falls' first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for New Holstein, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.
