Kailey Plumlee made a splash, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. Considering she played a big game the last time she faced off against Upperman back in March of 2024, the result shouldn't come as too huge a shock. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was her sixth in a row with more than eight strikeouts. This season, Plumlee has an ERA of .64 over 43.7 innings pitched.
