Oakland Mills took a 63-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of St. Andrew's Episcopal. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Friday (57), Oakland Mills still had to take the loss.
It was another big night for Olivia Strause, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 14 rebounds for St. Andrew's Episcopal. Those 24 points set a new season-high mark for her. Sophia Brooks was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
Oakland Mills' loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for St. Andrew's Episcopal, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oakland Mills will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on South River at 5:00 p.m. on January 12, 2024. As for St. Andrew's Episcopal, they will head out on the road to face off against St. John's Catholic Prep at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. St. John's Catholic Prep will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Maryland Rankings (they are ranked 91st, while St. Andrew's Episcopal is ranked 14th).
