The Sparks Railroaders lost against the Wooster Colts back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The contest between Sparks and Wooster wasn't particularly close, with Sparks falling 65-49. Sparks has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Sparks' loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jaoquin "JJ" Tagulao, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and six assists, and Eli Flores who scored 17 points along with two steals. Tagulao hasn't dropped below two steals for 15 straight games. Another player making a difference was Adrian Banuelos Puga, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds.
It was another big night for Jared Marquicias, who scored 21 points along with five rebounds and four steals for Wooster. Brandon Rodriguez Reynoso was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Sparks has been struggling recently as they've lost 15 of their last 17 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-19 record this season. As for Wooster, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-10 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sparks will take on South Tahoe at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Sparks focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Wednesday. As for Wooster, they will be playing at home against North Valleys at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Nevada (North Valleys is ranked 70th, while Wooster is ranked 50th).
