Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask St. Charles East). They really took it to the Geneva Vikings for the full four quarters, racking up a 72-44 win. With the Fighting Saints ahead 47-20 at the half, the game was all but over already.

St. Charles East's win on Saturday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Corinne Reed, who went 8 of 10 en route to 19 points and four steals. With that strong performance, Reed is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklyn Schilb, who went 9 for 11 on her way to 18 points and five boards.

St. Charles East pushed their record up to 14-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy: their three-point shooting accuracy was 30.4% in those games and 40.3% outside of them. As for Geneva, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.

St. Charles East didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 57-33 win against Oswego on the 15th. As for Geneva, they will face off against St. Charles North at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (St. Charles North has three straight victories, Geneva has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
