Clarinda will be defending their home turf for the first time on Friday when they go up against Red Oak at 7:00 PM. It might come down to the wire as the game is expected to be close.
Clarinda had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They captured a comfortable 37-19 win over Shenandoah.
Meanwhile, it was all tied up at halftime, but Red Oak wasn't quite Corning's equal in the second half when they met last Friday. It was close but no cigar for Red Oak as they fell 21-24 to Corning.
Clarinda's victory lifted them to 1-0 while Red Oak's loss dropped them down to 0-2. We'll find out if Clarinda can add another positive mark to their record or if Red Oak can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Clarinda's step.
