Cedar Vale/Dexter has been on the road for two straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Oswego Indians at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Cedar Vale/Dexter focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten last Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, Cedar Vale/Dexter took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 56-18 victory over South Coffeyville/Copan. With Cedar Vale/Dexter ahead 32-8 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Cedar Vale/Dexter's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Francesco Savoia, who scored eight points. The team also got some help courtesy of Maverick Schalk, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Oswego unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They were the victim of a rough 60-34 defeat at the hands of Erie. Oswego has not had much luck with Erie recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
The losing side was boosted by Tanner O'Neal, who scored 11 points along with four steals. He scored a full 32.4% of Oswego's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Rayden Myers was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with nine rebounds.
The win got Cedar Vale/Dexter back to even at 1-1. As for Oswego, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.
Everything came up roses for Cedar Vale/Dexter against Oswego in their previous meeting back in December of 2022 as the squad secured a 48-18 victory. With Cedar Vale/Dexter ahead 37-2 at the half, the game was all but over already.
