The Trinity Academy Knights won the last time they faced the Chaparral Roadrunners, and things went their way on Friday too. Trinity Academy took down Chaparral 52-36. The win made it back-to-back wins for Trinity Academy.
Chaparral's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaylee Swartz, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Swartz hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for six straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Paige Swingle, who scored 12 points.
Trinity Academy's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Chaparral, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-4.
Trinity Academy will head out on the road to face off against Dodge City on Tuesday. As for Chaparral, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Belle Plaine at 6:00 p.m.
