Fulton were fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Discovery 52-14. Fulton were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Fulton's offense rushed out of the gates and came up with 40 first-half points. Discovery wasn't quite able to keep up, scoring 8 to make it 40-8 heading into the break. The Fulton defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 6 and all but finishing the matchup. The victory bumped Fulton's record up to 4-3. The defeat dropped Discovery's record to 2-4.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Next week Fulton take on Sherman Oaks CES at 3:30 PM. Since neither squad is a stranger to landslide victories this season, you'd better bet it will be hard-fought showdown. As for Discovery, they will face off against New Designs University Park.
