The Mira Mesa Marauders will be playing in front of their home fans against the Morse Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mira Mesa will be strutting in after a win while Morse will be coming in after a loss.
Mira Mesa's three-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They walked away with a 28-19 victory over Christian. The win was just what Mira Mesa needed coming off of a 50-10 loss in their prior contest.
Tyson Line was a one-man wrecking crew for Mira Mesa as he threw for 192 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Brown, who picked up 117 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Morse took a serious blow against Point Loma on Friday, falling 38-6. Morse was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-6.
Mira Mesa's victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Morse, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Everything came up roses for Mira Mesa against Morse when the teams last played back in April of 2021 as the team secured a 28-0 win. Will Mira Mesa repeat their success, or does Morse have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
