Adding to the longest winning streak in Portage Trail - Metro this week, Norton beat Field 47-21. The win marks seventh in a row for the the Panthers.
Norton scaled the state rankings by moving to 254 from 287 this week, the biggest jump in the league. John Tanksley's team was able to move up by beating the Falcons 47-21.
Roosevelt's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Dustin Monaco threw for 145 and 2 touchdowns and Eriqk Smiley had 74 yards receiving. On the ground Marcus Cadiell chipped in 138 yards. Luther Fortson helped Roosevelt's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 62 yards.
Monaco put up the best numbers through the air as the Rough Riders topped Streetsboro. Monaco's favorite target this week was Smiley, who caught 5 passes for 74 yards.
Roosevelt's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Rough Riders feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Monaco has thrown for 1,180 yards and 11 touchdowns this season, while Smiley has 29 catches for 361 yards.
Cadiell of the Roosevelt is only 45 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 111 carries Cadiell has accumulated 955 yard this year.
The Red Devils are currently in third, while John Nemec's team is in first.
The Rough Riders took down the Rockets 33-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Monaco ran for 49 yards in the win.
