On Friday, the Passaic Indians were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap  as they fell  33-29 to the Franklin Warriors.
 Despite the loss, Passaic still got an impressive performance from   Justin Griffin, who rushed for 285 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 14.3 yards per carry. Griffin was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash  that went for 67 yards.  Eddie Hidalgo got in on the action as well, returning a kick for a touchdown.
 Passaic's defeat was  their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Franklin, their win  ended  a  four-game drought on the road  dating back to last season and  puts them at 2-0.
 Passaic will head out to  face off against Clifton  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Franklin, they will be playing at home against East Brunswick  at 2:30  p.m.  on Saturday.
