Softball Recap: Rowlett Has No Trouble Against Princeton

Rowlett's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. Everything went their way against the Princeton Panthers as the Rowlett Eagles made off with an 11-3 win. This was payback for the Eagles, who suffered a 12-6 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Peyton LupPlace was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Reagan Montgomery also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Rowlett always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .652. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Princeton only posted an OBP of .353.

Rowlett's victory bumped their record up to 2-3-1. As for Princeton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Rowlett wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 6-5 loss against North Forney on the 21st. As for Princeton, they have also already played their next game, a 14-1 win against Berkner on the 21st.
