Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Pittsfield walked away with it. They were the clear victors by a 16-2 margin over the Frontier Regional Red Hawks on Wednesday. The Generals might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 contests by six runs or more this season.

The victory was the eighth in a row for Pittsfield, bringing their record up to 19-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.9 runs on average over those games. As for Frontier Regional, their loss dropped their record down to 12-9.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Pittsfield beat the Red Hawks by a score of 16-2 later that day.
