The Valor Christian Eagles will face off against the Denver East Angels at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Valor Christian's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
Last Wednesday, Valor Christian humbled Bear Creek with a 68-35 victory. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 22 points or more this season.

Cole Scherer was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double with 19 points and nine steals. The match was his seventh in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Brady Wynja, who en route to 21 points.
Valor Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. They are 7-1 when they hit their own glass that hard.
Meanwhile, two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Denver East walked away with it. They walked away with a 63-52 win over the Rebels on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Angels sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Denver East's win came from a few key players Valor Christian will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was LINCOLN LEMIEUX, who posted 17 points and five rebounds. Denver East is 3-1 when LEMIEUX posts 15 or more points, but 7-13 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of JEREMIAH IMAN JR, who put up nine points and eight boards.
Denver East pushed their record up to 10-14 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.0 points over those games. As for Valor Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Valor Christian has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 28.4 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Denver East struggles in that department as they've been averaging 27 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Valor Christian strolled past Denver East in their previous matchup back in January of 2020 by a score of 82-64. Will Valor Christian repeat their success, or does Denver East have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
