Center Place's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Christian Learning Center, falling 53-19. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Center Place has scored all season.
Leading Christian Learning Center to victory were Micah Bean and Callie Trezona. Bean dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds, while Trezona scored 18 points along with three steals. The game was Bean's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylie Allen, who scored six points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Center Place now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Christian Learning Center, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Center Place will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Overland Christian at 6:00 p.m. on January 9, 2024. As for Christian Learning Center, they will head out on the road to face off against Plaza Heights Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Plaza Heights Christian Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 291st in Missouri, while Christian Learning Center is ranked 45th in Kansas).
