Ridgeland has been on the road for three straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on The Gordon Lee Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Ridgeland comes in on a streak of failing to score more than nine points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 35-7, which was the final score in Ridgeland's tilt against Ringgold on Friday.
Meanwhile, Gordon Lee unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They were dealt a 40-7 loss at the hands of Adairsville. Gordon Lee was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-0.
Ridgeland's loss was their 18th straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-8. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 7-1 Bremen and 10-2 Adairsville (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 59% over those games). As for Gordon Lee, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.
Ridgeland took a serious blow against Gordon Lee when the teams last played back in October of 2022, falling 49-13. Will Ridgeland have more luck at home instead of on the road?
